For decades Betaines have been used in a broad range of cleansing products from shampoos and body washes to bubble baths to facial cleansers. Betaines are known to provide mildness to sulfate systems and other formulations.
Betaines are widely used as they are well known, easy to formulate with and relatively inexpensive. We, at StarChem, manufacture various Betaines at our Wellford, South Carolina production facility. StarChem introduces StarFresh odor control technology. StarFresh is not a deodorant that masks odor, but a technically advanced topical treatment that chemically absorbs gases from odor source over a period of time. Originally this odor control technology was developed for working with fibers and textiles for commercial, residential, automotive, and home furnishing applications. We are now introducing this technology to the consumer markets, in such applications as tissue, hygiene, diapers, and fabric care.
