Product Description

Being based upon C6 fluoroalkyl copolymer the StarPel™ FC 2655 is an eco-friendly, durable oil and water repellent for polyester, cotton, nylon fabrics, and nonwovens.
StarPel™ FC 2655 is compatible with most finishing products normally used in pad finishing.

Application

StarPel™ FC 2655 is generally applied by padding in a finishing application and allows for a soft hand. The product should be dried and then cured on the fabric or nonwoven material.

Usage Levels

Fabric: 100% Cotton

Usage Level: 3.0 – 6.0% owb

% Web Pick-Up: 60 – 70

Curing Conditions: 320-360°F (160-182°C) for 1 min

Fabric: Pulp/SMS Nonwoven

Usage Level: 2.0 – 4.5% owb

% Web Pick-Up: 100 – 130

Curing Conditions: 275-320°F (135-160°C) for 2 min

Fabric: 100% Polyester

Usage Level: 3.0 – 5.0% owb

% Web Pick-Up: 50 – 60

Curing Conditions: 340-380°F (171-193°C) for 1 min

Fabric: 100% Nylon

Usage Level: 3.0 – 6.0% owb

% Web Pick-Up: 50 – 60

Curing Conditions: 340-380°F (171-193°C) for 1 min

Expected Results
Durability to home laundry up to 30 washes possible based upon optimum conditions and fabric processed.

Storage

If exposed to temperatures below 32°F (0°C) for long periods, StarPel™ FC 2655 may freeze. If this occurs, thaw at room temperature and mix well before using.
