Product Description
StarSil™ AC 1083 is a new highly efficient silicone-antifoam compound. StarSil™ AC 1083 is a nonaqueous solvent-free 100% silicone base with improved long-term foam control efficiency. It was specially developed for use in a wide range of industrial applications ranging from pulp processing, textile dyeing, and wastewater treatment. StarSil™ AC 1083 has significant foam knockdown and excellent sustaining antifoam performance.

Product Applications
StarSil™ AC 1083 acts primarily as an antifoam base for formulated defoamers and antifoams that can be added at various stages during pulp manufacturing. When emulsified StarSil™ AC 1083 rinses clean and does not have the detrimental effect of silicone deposits and residues.

Storage Conditions

StarChem™ TOD 60 has a shelf life of at least twelve months from the date of delivery; if stored in original, unopened containers at temperatures not exceeding 40°C. Continued storage beyond the designated shelf life does not necessarily mean the material cannot be used. However, renewed testing of the most important properties is imperative.
