Product Description

StarLube™ 243 is a high solids polyethylene emulsion nonionic in nature and free of any paraffin wax or other types of softening ingredients. When used with resin finishes on cellulosic or blended fabrics, it is particularly effective in yielding good softening and excellent lubricating properties.

StarLube™ 243 is also suitable for use in coatings on paper, non-wovens and industrial fabrics. StarLube™ 243 is an excellent sewing aid, producing excellent needle cutting efficiency. Its outstanding lubricating properties also provide a marked improvement in tear strength as well as abrasion resistance without a significant reduction in tensile strength.

StarLube™ 243 may be used in conjunction with other softeners to yield other desired effects, such as a silky hand, with cationic softeners. It is useful in water repellent or fluorochemical finishes in that it does not detract from the water or oil repellent properties.

Application

The quantity of StarLube™ 243 to be used will range from 1–2% on weight of bath and will depend on the degree of lubricity desired as well as the concentration of other ingredients in the bath.

Storage

StarLube™ 243 should be stored in a dry place, away from excessive heat, and in original or similar waterproof containers. Protect from moisture. Keep away from heat, sparks, and flame.
