StarLube™ 5442
Slightly Cationic Polypropylene Emulsion
Product Description
StarLube™ 5442 is a slightly cationic polypropylene emulsion that is used to provide lubricity to fiberglass. It is a film former that protects the fiberglass from self-abrasion and also provides excellent fiber-to-fiber and fiber- to-metal lubricity. StarLube™ 5442 also has good cohesion properties.
Special Properties
Compatible with many cationic and most anionic agents that may be used in the fiberglass process.
Application
StarLube™ 5442 may be used in varying concentrations to desired end use. Suggested levels of 1% to 5% owb in pad and spray applications, then dried to enhance film forming properties.
Storage
StarLube™ 5442 has excellent storage stability. It is resistant to scorching at high temperatures.
